A liquid substance containing medication released as a spray. People with cystic fibrosis use a nebulizer for certain aerosolized medication and/or an inhaler.
Contains particulates – also known as particulate matter (PM), suspended particulate matter (SPM), fine particles – are tiny subdivisions of solid matter or medication suspended in a gas or liquid. In contrast, aerosol refers to particles and/or liquid droplets and the gas together. Sources of particulate matter can be man made or natural.
