Meet Emmberlynn ~ An Extended Hospital Stay Grant Recipient
“I have a daughter that has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and I was struggling at one point in my life. My rent was behind cause I was going back and forth to see my daughter because she’s an hour and a half away from home, and I want her to know mommy loves her and cares for her. I was blessed to meet these amazing people at Claire’s Place Foundation that have blessed my life & my family tremendously. I cried and cried and thanked God for everything y’all have done for my family.”
-Emberlynn’s mother
Baby Emmberlynn spent the first 6 months of her life in the hospital after being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and experiencing many health scares. Her parents struggled to stay with her and begin the long process of learning the ins and outs of caring for a child with this disease.
After such a long stay, both parents had used up all of their paid time off, maternity/paternity leave and FMLA and were in the terrifying position of facing eviction. In the hopes of saving their home so that they would have a safe place to bring their new baby after discharge, they reached out to us for assistance.
We know our grants can feel life changing for families at times, even the smallest amount of financial assistance can save a family from a cycle of poverty.
Thank you to all who support this important program! We are sending prayers and love to baby Emmberlynn and her family.
