As we led up to Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday, our focus this giving season was on gratitude.

Studies show practicing gratitude can improve your mood, sleep, immunity, and overall health. It can also reduce depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and the risk of disease.

Gratitude can help you heal from past trauma. Being grateful can help you grow in love and compassion for yourself and others. A grateful heart can help you see the blessings in your life, even in difficult circumstances.

This Giving Tuesday, get your gift matched up to $16,000!

Here are some tips for practicing gratitude:

Look for small ways to let go of worries and make room for gratitude.

Practice saying "thank you" aloud throughout the day.

Accept yourself and lean into the presence of love.

Allow gratitude to touch a loss, transition, or change you're going through.
