May is CF Awareness Month ~ 3 Ways to Get Involved

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month Our mission here at Claire's Place Foundation is to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis on a national and sometimes global level as well as provide financial and emotional support to the children and families it affects. In honor of CF Awareness Month, please consider making a small commitment to get involved ~ following are 3 ways you can make an impact in May Thank you for your support!  Each and every one of you are valued and appreciated.  I could not have made this happen without you.  Claire Wineland, Founder SUPPORT A FUNDRAISER This year, we have been blessed by 3 individuals who are inspired by our mission and chose to make a contribution in a big way.  Kathie and Paul donated their wedding shower by requesting that donations be made to our foundation in lieu of wedding gifts. Rocker Riki Rachtman is riding his motorcycle across 48 states on his epic #RikisRide17 to raise money and awareness for our cause starting June 1st and Doug is cycling 3400 miles from Oregon to New York on his "Cycling USA 4 CF" tour raising money and awareness as he goes.  ALL are incredible, heroic acts of selflessness and we want to support them in any way we can.  You can help by visiting their various sites and making a donation or by contacting us with an idea for your own creative event.  Join Claire at TEDx Cardiff by the Sea Our Founder, Claire Wineland, will be sharing her story about living a life she loves, not in spite of having been born with cystic fibrosis but because of it.  Show your support by joining us on May 12th for the TEDx event "We are all in this together".  It is sure to be a day of inspiration and community.  Tickets will sell out so be sure to reserve yours today.  Photo Credit: Todd Westphal GET TICKETS BECOME A MONTHLY DONOR With all the media spotlight and the new connections we are making with hospital Social Workers across the country,  the number of families and children referred to us and our important programs continue to grow.  We are always grateful to meet new families and nothing gives us more happiness than to be able to help them during Extended Hospital Stays.  But, we need your support so that we can keep up with the demand.
