Meet Jen, A Work Proudly Program Success Story!

Jennifer came to know about our Work Proudly Program through her hospital social worker in 2021, just as Covid was loosening its grip on the country. She has lived with cystic fibrosis for many years and before Trikafta, her health was declining rapidly.

Once she started the new miracle medication, she faced a very uncertain and unplanned for future. She knew that she would need to find remote employment to provide for herself and her young son. Despite the challenges, Jennifer has been a shining example of the power of this program. Through her determination and perseverance, she has found a fulfilling career in remote medical billing and coding. This career choice not only supports her financially, but it also provides her with the flexibility to work from home or from the hospital when necessary.
